Roger Waters anunciou a 'Legacy', uma nova turnê programada para 2027 que promete celebrar a música marcante e o universo visual da era de ouro do Pink Floyd.
O espetáculo foi idealizado sob a direção de Waters, mas ele não estará presente no palco. Quem assume a liderança da banda é seu filho, Harry Waters, músico experiente, pianista e compositor, que já possui uma longa trajetória nos palcos.
“Essas músicas significam muito para tantas pessoas há tantos anos, e estou animado para que o público possa se reunir e vivenciá-las ao vivo novamente”, declarou Roger Waters em comunicado à imprensa. “Harry montou uma banda excelente, e mal posso esperar para que fãs do mundo todo assistam ao show especial que criamos juntos.”
Para Harry Waters, a turnê 'Legacy' representa um novo capítulo em sua paixão de vida pela música do Pink Floyd.
“Me apaixonei imediatamente pela música”, confessou Harry. “Ela realmente teve um impacto em mim, independentemente de qualquer viés por ser música do meu pai. Ainda amo profundamente até hoje. Colaborar com meu pai nessa nova produção é uma grande honra, e sou muito grato pela oportunidade de levar essa música a fãs antigos e novos ao redor do mundo.”
Por onde passará a turnê 'Legacy' do Pink Floyd?
Harry Waters estará acompanhado de uma banda de dez integrantes de alto nível, que irá apresentar seleções dos álbuns 'The Dark Side of the Moon', 'Wish You Were Here', 'Animals' e 'The Wall'. Após uma busca criteriosa pelo vocalista ideal, Clifton David Broadbridge foi escolhido para assumir os vocais marcantes de Roger Waters.
A turnê 'Legacy' terá início em 15 de fevereiro em Columbus, Geórgia, e percorrerá a América do Norte. Entre as principais cidades estão Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Baltimore e Los Angeles. O encerramento está previsto para 25 de setembro em St. Louis. Confira a lista completa de datas abaixo.
